Tokyo Raw: Website for the documentary film
This site is an exploration of the old and new Tokyo. I spent time November 2007 and June 2008 in Minami Senju, Minowa, Asakusa, Shinjuku, and Shibuya filming in HD with a Canon HV20. I am interested in the fading life of the shitamachi, the old working class in eastern Tokyo. They form a stark contrast to the younger generation and the western neighborhoods Shinjuku and Shibuya. I return to Tokyo in late May 2009 and hope to complete this during summer 2009.Please consider a donation to help me complete and distribute this film!
